Investigating the Effect of Bi2MoO6/g-C3N4 Ratio on Photocatalytic Degradation of Sulfadiazine under Visible Light

In this study, a series of Bi2MoO6/g-C3N4 composites were prepared through wet-impregnation method, and their photocatalytic properties investigated for the degradation sulfadiazine (SDZ) under visible light irradiation. Physical chemical characterizations carried out using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), photoluminescence (PL), UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra (UV-vis), electrochemical impedance (EIS). Compared to pure g-C3N4, introduction Bi2MoO6 significantly enhanced responsive activity, with 1:32 composite exhibiting highest photodegradation efficiency towards SDZ irradiation 93.88% after 120 min The improved activity can be attributed formation heterojunction between which promotes transfer photogenerated electron-hole pairs, thereby elevating its activity. results suggest that have potential application sulfonamides in aquatic environments.
